Madagascar is an island country located in the Indian Ocean, off the southeastern coast of Africa. It is the fourth largest island in the world. The island is situated east of Mozambique and is separated from the African continent by the Mozambique Channel. The nearby countries are Comoros, Seychelles, Mauritius, Tanzania, and Mozambique.
Major Regions. Madagascar is previously divided into six provinces: Antananarivo, Mahajanga, Toamasina, Antsiranana, Fianarantsoa, and Toliara. Each province is further divided into regions and districts.
